We're an independent, not-for-profit educational site, so there's no sales team on the other end. We read everything that comes in. The fastest way to reach the editorial team:

  • Email: [CONTACT EMAIL]
  • Phone: [CONTACT PHONE]

We aim to reply within two business days.

What to send us

Corrections. If something on the site is wrong or out of date, tell us which page and what's off. If you can point us to the primary source — a HealthCare.gov page, a CMS document, a tn.gov page — we'll get to it faster. Our corrections policy lives on how we verify: we fix errors and disclose that we fixed them.

Questions. If a guide left you confused, or a question you have isn't answered anywhere on the site, ask. Real reader questions are how new guides get written.

Story tips. If something changed in your corner of Tennessee's insurance landscape — a carrier pulled out of your county, a local enrollment event worked well, a short-term plan did something surprising, a Navigator office closed — we'd like to know. We follow up on tips that can be verified against a primary source.

Feedback on the site. Tell us what's useful and what isn't. We'd rather hear that a page is confusing than have you quietly leave.

What we can't do

We are an editorial guide, not a licensed insurance agency, and we cannot give personal insurance advice or enroll anyone — in a marketplace plan, TennCare, CoverKids, Medicare, or anything else. If you need help with your own situation, these are the right doors to knock on:

  • HealthCare.gov — 1-800-318-2596 (TTY 1-855-889-4325), 24/7 except holidays. Enroll, compare plans, and get answers about your marketplace account.
  • GetCoveredTenn — 1-866-475-7879. Tennessee's Navigator program: free, unbiased help with marketplace, TennCare, and CoverKids enrollment — in-person in 10 counties (Cheatham, Davidson, Fayette, Robertson, Rutherford, Shelby, Sumner, Tipton, Williamson, Wilson), phone/virtual statewide.
  • TN SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) — 1-877-801-0044. Free, unbiased Medicare counseling, run by the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability.
  • TennCare Connect — 855-259-0701. Apply for or ask about TennCare and CoverKids.
  • Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance, Consumer Insurance Services — (615) 741-2218 or 1-800-342-4029. File complaints and request external review of denied claims.

If you send us a personal advice or enrollment question anyway, we'll point you to one of the resources above rather than guess at your answer.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly will I hear back? We aim to reply within two business days. Corrections that affect facts people rely on — dates, deadlines, eligibility rules — get priority, and urgent corrections (a wrong deadline during open enrollment, for example) are handled the same day when possible.

I found an error. What do you need from me? The page it appeared on, what's wrong, and a source if you have one. A link to HealthCare.gov, CMS, or tn.gov helps us verify and fix quickly. You don't need a source to report something — we'll do the checking.

Can you tell me which plan to buy? No — we can't give personal insurance advice or enroll anyone. Use the resources above: GetCoveredTenn (1-866-475-7879) and HealthCare.gov (1-800-318-2596) both offer free, unbiased help with exactly that question.

Can you help me appeal a denied claim? We can't represent you, but we can point you in the right direction: after your plan's internal appeal, Tennessee consumers can request an external review through the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance, and Consumer Insurance Services at 1-800-342-4029 can explain the process.

Do you want press inquiries or partnership pitches here? Yes — [CONTACT EMAIL] is the right address. Just know in advance that we don't run sponsored content, paid placements, or insurer advertising, so partnership pitches involving money for coverage aren't a fit.
